My name is Ophelia Fitzroy.

You might’ve heard of me, there’s so many things floating around out there, you see.

Victim. Sister. Daughter. Friend. B*tch. His twin from my first breath.

Labels upon labels to wrap up all those intrinsic little human complexities nicely, don’t you think?

I’ve even heard it whispered that I drowned myself in a river once upon a time due to misogyny. No take backs for my namesake either, it seems.

My story starts in a far different time and place, though, behind ivy covered walls with flowers that I never asked to haunt me. Swearing things to a dimpled prince who’s the cause and cure all in one. Never even guessing promises made with the best of intent would lead to the downfall of us all one day.

I’d say you’ll be dying to know how it ends, but that’d just be in poor taste, I think.

Ready or not though, the game starts in…one, two, three—
